Jerry Schuitema is a distinguished South African business thinker and author, recognized for his pioneering work in the field of economic communication and his focus on ethical business practices.

He is the developer of the Contribution Accounting Methodology (CAM), a groundbreaking approach that emphasizes stakeholder inclusivity and the alignment of business success with societal benefit. With decades of experience in business journalism and consultancy, Schuitema has contributed significantly to reshaping how businesses engage with employees, customers, and society at large.

A former Economics Editor at the South African Broadcasting Corporation (SABC), Schuitema spent over half a century at the forefront of economic reporting, including creating influential broadcast products and establishing the Economics Desk at the SABC.

His career in media helped make complex economic principles accessible to the public, and his insights have been lauded by business leaders. He has authored several books, including “Value through Values”, which advocates for ethics-driven business strategies, and “Empathy: The Power Within”, exploring the role of empathy in leadership and decision-making.

Jerry is also well-regarded for his work in employee development, particularly his People and Wealth and Inspired Service programs, which have been implemented by major corporations such as SAB and ABSA.

His training workshops emphasize ethical leadership, transparency, and collaboration, aiming to foster healthier workplace environments where all stakeholders benefit.
