Johan Southey is an experienced coach and facilitator with a background in industrial engineering, manufacturing leadership, business performance, change management and culture development.

He holds an MBA, a BTech in Industrial Engineering, formal change management training from MIT, and a Government Certificate of Competency / Government Ticket. This technical, operational and business education gives his coaching work a strong grounding in real organisational performance rather than abstract leadership theory.

His work focuses on helping leaders move from control and firefighting toward accountability, trust, disciplined execution and genuine contribution. He works with managers, supervisors and leadership teams to convert leadership intent into visible workplace behaviour.

He has led and supported change management, leadership development and coaching work across multiple sub-Saharan African countries, with experience in operational, corporate, mining, education, agricultural and professional-services environments.

Johan is also engaged with the Maturity Institute in the United Kingdom, where his work focuses on organisational maturity, human capital, stakeholder value, leadership quality, governance, trust, culture and sustainable organisational performance.
